In shocking news, G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been pushed back to March 2013, per Deadline.
Reasons behind this eight month delay are mainly to perform a full 3D conversion to the film since 3D viewings are huge oversees in China and Russia. Therefore, in theory, giving the G.I. Joe movie the ability to make the most money it can.
Collider is reporting there will be reshoots to take advantage of the 3D conversion as well.
We here at SuperHero Authority have received our own information from an insider who more or less said the obvious which is this delay is probably for the best because now it doesn't have to go head-to-head against The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises this summer and can focus on getting a larger International following next year instead.
Stay tuned as more info comes in about this delay.
