Iron Man 3 officially went into production and began principle photography on Wednesday May 23 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Not only has Marvel Studios begun on Tony Stark's next solo flick, but the studios has issued an astounding increase to the movie's budget from the reported original budget or $140 million to a whopping $200 million now. This report, per Latino-Review, shows that Disney and Marvel want to make sure they have plenty of capital for each of the stand-alone superhero movies now that The Avengers is such a huge hit.
